Abstract

The study of marital relationships and family values occupies an important place in modern social psychology. Marital relations are considered one of the most significant forms of interpersonal relationships that influence the psychological well-being, emotional stability, and social development of individuals. This article examines the theoretical foundations of the study of marital relationships and the system of values that shape family life. Particular attention is paid to the psychological, social, and cultural factors that influence the formation and development of marital relations. The paper analyzes the main scientific approaches to the study of family values, including theories of interpersonal interaction, social exchange, and value orientation. The research emphasizes that stable marital relationships are based on mutual respect, trust, emotional support, and shared value systems. Understanding these theoretical foundations helps to identify the factors that strengthen family stability and contribute to healthy interpersonal communication between spouses
